Membership for Individuals and Organizations

The TIPA membership scheme creates a global and recognizable network of individuals and organizations with unparalleled access to information about TIPA.

The membership promotes the use of this internationally recognized framework in organizations and is open to

  • Individuals who are qualified to perform assessments using the TIPA methodology/tools
  • Organizations who license the TIPA Intellectual Property and Trademark to perform assessments for commercial benefit
TIPA membership provides the following benefits:
  • The formal membership scheme allows members to maintain an ecosystem of TIPA users and stakeholders, so that their needs can be addressed and the latest TIPA updates can be delivered to them.
  • Membership allows identification and recognition of individuals who are certified to perform assessments.
  • Membership enables organizations to commercially exploit TIPA by offering assessments as a service.
  • Enables continual improvements to the TIPA framework and content based on feedback from members.

Membership Categories

Each category of membership has been developed to support our members either in professional development or in achieving commercial benefits through the use of the framework and tools. Find out more about each of the categories, benefits and dues, by visiting the links above and selecting the one that applies to you or your organization.

End-user Organizations

End-user organizations are companies where assessments are performed internally. In other words, these organizations are the ultimate beneficiaries of the TIPA assessments.

These are organizations that:

  • Are interested in exploring a global framework that offers a vendor-neutral, structured and repeatable method to measure IT process-maturity.
  • Wish to explore the tools and techniques of a framework that enables process improvement through goal-setting and improvement measurement.
  • Seek access to TIPA intellectual property to better understand how TIPA can contribute to improving processes before commissioning an assessment.
  • Seek guidance on starting and conducting internal TIPA assessments.
There are two ways in which end-user organizations can conduct internal assessments:
  • By sending employees for TIPA training and certification programs (for more information, refer to the TIPA Certification scheme). These organizations can, thus, build internal TIPA competence and conduct any number of TIPA assessments internally.
  • By commissioning an assessment project led by a company that is a TIPA Organizational Member. TIPA Organizational Members are companies that are licensed to offer TIPA assessment services. See Organizational Member Directory.

Organizations who are interested in finding out more about TIPA and how assessments can contribute to the evaluation and improvement of internal processes have the option to download and evaluate parts of TIPA before commissioning a TIPA assessment project.
