Organizational Membership

The TIPA Organizational Membership scheme is designed to recognize and support organizations that wish to use the TIPA framework for commercial purposes. Examples of Organizational Members are Consulting firms, IT Service Providers and Software development firms.

Being a member allows an organization to benefit from the widespread adoption of TIPA by the market. Members are organizations that plan to make available a commercial offering based on the TIPA framework or plan to use TIPA in the development of a commercial offering. A commercial offering can be:

  • Service (assessment, consulting), or
  • Product (a software tool that is built on TIPA methodology or tools, or one that uses TIPA Intellectual Property ), or
  • A combination of both of the above.

Important: For an Organization to be able to apply for Membership and offer a commercial service/product that includes the TIPA framework; the organizational must employ at least one TIPA Lead Assessor.

Organizational Membership belongs to the organization (as opposed to Professional Membership that belongs to a certified individual) and can be retained by the organization as reassignments occur.

Benefits of becoming an Organizational Member:
  • Ability to integrate and commercially exploit TIPA in product and/or service offerings.
  • Offer TIPA-based consulting.
  • Right to use the TIPA trademark and logo for commercial purposes.
  • Access to all Intellectual Property and materials to perform TIPA Assessments (including Process Assessment Model, Toolbox).
  • Access to the latest updates of TIPA materials.
  • Validation by listing on the official TIPA website as an organization that is authorized to offer TIPA services/products commercially.
  • Support for a growing global framework based on seven years of research by a renowned research organization.

Organizational Membership fee and criteria:

  • For an organization to become an Organizational Member and start offering TIPA assessment services, it is required to employ at least one TIPA Lead Assessor.
  • TIPA Organizational Membership fee has two components.
    • A base annual fee, for the use of TIPA Intellectual Property and Trademark that is based on organizational revenue.
    • A flat fee on top of the base fee, per assessment performed by the organization.
